Your puppy will learn that the world is a safe and happy place, even with the current Pandemic restrictions! You will learn how to prepare your puppy to enjoy vet check-ups and love being groomed. You will also learn how to help your puppy love alone time. Your puppy will also gain confidence thanks to safe, positive interactions with strangers, novel items, textures and strange sounds. Puppy basic obedience taught in this class will provide the foundation for good manners such as sit, attention towards the handler, polite leash walking, and more! Your puppy will develop skills to help prepare him or her for adolescence such as learning to share prized possessions, coping with scary situations and mastering the art of good social skills with dogs and people. Adolescence can be a challenging time as puppies become more independent and behavioural quirks start to emerge. Therefore, you want to set your puppy up for success so that he or she will thrive during adolescence! Resource guarding, “selective hearing”, dog park safety and success, and fear periods , chewing, nipping, deciphering and interpreting body language, and how to properly reinforce good behaviours and deal with unwanted behaviours are a few of the topics you’ll learn in Puppy Kindergarten.
