We can help with a variety of behaviour issues including separation anxiety, aggression and reactivity. We can also help your dog learn to walk well on leash, to come when called, and more.

Puppy Kindergarten Online

Online Puppy Kindergarten Classes

Age Requirements: Your puppy must be between 9 and 13 weeks old on their first day of Puppy Kindergarten I. Puppies over 19 weeks cannot participate in this class.

Course Length: 6 lessons (6 consecutive weeks; 45 minutes each lesson + time for Q&A)

Price: $159 + HST for 6 lessons

Max. Class Size: 5 puppies

Puppy Kindergarten I focuses on relationship building and confidence building. Your puppy will learn that the world is a safe and happy place, even with the current Pandemic restrictions!

Basic exercises introduced in Puppy Kindergarten I include vet visits and grooming, socialization activities, alone-time training, and Puppy Manners 1. You will learn how to prepare your puppy to enjoy vet check-ups and love being groomed. You will also learn how to help your puppy love alone time. Your puppy will also gain confidence thanks to safe, positive interactions with strangers, novel items, textures and strange sounds. Puppy basic obedience taught in this class will provide the foundation for good manners such as sit, attention towards the handler, polite leash walking, and more! Chewing, nipping, deciphering and interpreting body language, and how to properly reinforce good behaviours and deal with unwanted behaviours are a few of the topics you’ll learn in Puppy Kindergarten I.

What You’ll Need For Class:

  • Plenty of small training treats that your puppy loves
  • A regular 6-foot leash (non-retractable)
  • A dog training food reward pouch, bag, or holder so that you can retrieve your food reward easily
  • A regular collar or harness

Age Requirements: Your puppy must be between 14 and 21 weeks old on their first day of Puppy Kindergarten II. Puppies over 27 weeks cannot participate in this class.

Course Length: 6 lessons (6 consecutive weeks; 45 minutes each lesson + time for Q&A)

Max. Class Size: 5 puppies

Puppy Kindergarten II focuses on preparing your puppy for puppy adolescence while building a positive bond between you and your puppy.

Exercises introduced in Puppy Kindergarten II include impulse control, polite social skills, preventing common behavioural problems, and Puppy Manners 2. Your puppy will develop skills to help prepare him or her for adolescence such as learning to share prized possessions, coping with scary situations and mastering the art of good social skills with dogs and people. Adolescence can be a challenging time as puppies become more independent and behavioural quirks start to emerge. Therefore, you want to set your puppy up for success so that he or she will thrive during adolescence! Puppy basic obedience taught in this class will include mastering good manner skills in a higher level of distraction. Resource guarding, “selective hearing”, dog park safety and success, and fear periods are a few of the topics you will learn in Puppy Kindergarten II.

  • A regular 6-foot leash (non-retractable)
  • A dog training food reward pouch, bag, or holder so that you can retrieve your food reward easily
  • A regular collar or harness

Pre-requisites: Your puppy must have graduated from a Puppy Kindergarten program (any location). Proof of class completion is required.

Age Requirements: Your puppy must be between 22 and 30 weeks old on their first day of Puppy Kindergarten III. Puppies over 34 weeks cannot participate in this class.

Course Length: 4 lessons (4 consecutive weeks; 45 minutes each lesson + time for Q&A)

Price: $100 + HST

Max. Class Size: 10 dogs

Puppy Kindergarten III focuses on increasing your puppy’s confidence through relationship building games.

Dog sports and brain games introduced in Puppy Kindergarten III include tricks, agility, Puppy Manners 3, and more. Discover your dog’s hidden talent! All activities are adjusted for puppies so they are safe and positive.

Online Good Manners Classes

Pre-requisite: Your dog must not exhibit fearful or reactive behaviours towards people and dogs. Reactive Rover graduates with your instructor’s approval are welcome. If you are unsure if your dog would be a good fit for this class, check out our popular Reactive Rover class or contact us with your questions.

Age Requirements: At least 6 months old

Course Length: 6 lessons (6 consecutive weeks; 1 hour each lesson)

Price: $200 + HST for 6 lessons

Max. Class Size: 5 dogs

Vaccination Requirements: Up-to-date in required vaccines (titer test results accepted).

This class is designed for dogs and owners who want to work on the basic good manners that we all want to see in our pet dogs.

Using the best and latest training strategies, you and your dog will learn these practical skills to help you navigate real life situations such as come-when-called (recall), loose leash walking, ignoring distractions and more! There is no off leash play as the dogs are now learning to focus on you and behave on leash.

What You’ll Need For Class:

  • A face mask for yourself
  • Plenty of small training treats that your dog loves
  • A regular 6-foot leash (non-retractable)
  • A dog training food reward pouch, bag, or holder so that you can retrieve your food reward easily
  • A regular collar or harness
  • Indoor shoes (for the humans) if it is wet or mucky out
