RECALL crash course

The Ottawa Canine School is proud to present the RECALL CRASH COURSE

We know how frustrating it can be when you call your dog and it either pretends not to hear you, dashes in the opposite direction, or worse, puts itself in a danger's way. Most of us want a dog that comes when called!

This 4-part series provides you with the tools to learn to RECALL your dog in low to high distraction settings. First 2 classes are INDOORS, last 2 classes are OUTDOORS.

I just wanted to let you know that the Recall course was definitely the best money spent on any of my pets ever. Macha amazed everyone in New Hampshire with her recall skills. We were tested beyond what I had expected. She turned on a dime and returned to me even when chasing a moose across the property and three goats who frequently roamed too close to the house. And when she turned, the other two dogs would follow her so it was a good "three for one"! An amazing trick to have up my sleeve!

The recall course was everything I had hoped for and more. Rufus not only comes when called he regularly checks to see where I am and follows my lead (most of the time). The course is so much more than recall. It’s helped me build that relationship with Rufus for which we are both much happier.

4 months later....

While walking Rufus along the Byron path I stopped to read a notice posted on a tree. Rufus went into his 'Houdini' mode and slipped out of his collar. When I noticed the slack in the leash, I turned to find Rufus only a few seconds away from attempting a crossing of Bryon Street at it's busiest hour - 5:30 p.m. I panicked and shouted RUFUS NOOOOOOO! He stopped, looked and then proceeded on his disastrous journey. Luckily I remembered the recall word that I had learned from your course and quickly called him using this 'magic' word. It worked. He turned and came running back to me safe and sound.
