Puppy Kindergarten

CLASSES RUN EVERY SUNDAY from 10am-11am

REGISTRATION is ONGOING (which means you can start any time!)

Start the relationship on the right paw! Register online or in person when you come to class.

What you need to have with you:

• Treats
• Proof of vaccination

The first 6 months are crucial! Your puppy must build confidence and continue to learn that the outside world is not a scary place.

The Ottawa Canine School's course objectives:

• Build a bond with your dog that is based on respect
• Learn to speak “Doglish”
• Learn how to prevent common problems and eliminate existing ones
• Start connecting with your dog more than  on the mechanical level
• Learn some fun educational games to play with your dog
• Build your dog’s confidence (the intro to Agility is great for this!)
• Socialize your dog to noises, objects and other dogs
• Meet new friends
• Have fun!

  Course outline:

  • Basic commands, ie: sit, stay, watch me
  • Socialization, to people, noises and other dogs
  • Heeling on a loose leash
  • Introduction to Agility Training

Course length:  5 lessons

Standard Lesson time: 60 minutes
