Basic Obedience

The Ottawa Canine School's course objectives:

• Build a bond with your dog that is based on respect
• Learn to speak “Doglish”
• Learn how to prevent common problems and eliminate existing ones (ex: jumping up, pulling on leash)
• Learn how to have a reliable dog that comes when called
• Build your dog’s confidence
• Gain reliable on-leash control of your dog
• Meet new friends
• Have fun!

Course outline:

• Focus (Watch me)
• Ignore distractions
• Heeling on a loose leash
• Sit from heel
• Long sit stay
• Long down stay
• Sit from the down
• Recall (Come) and return to heel 
• Introduction to Agility Training

Course length:  7 lessons (1 orientation session + 6 group classes)

Standard Lesson time: 60 minutes, including a short break

Price: $180, tax included

Reserve your spot - each class is limited to 7 dogs
