Puppy Kindergarten

Congratulations! You have (or are getting) a puppy! The Ottawa Canine School offers puppy training that covers key developmental periods.

Puppy Kindergarten I (9 – 13 weeks old)

Puppy Kindergarten II (14 – 21 weeks old)

Puppy Kindergarten III (22 – 30 weeks old)

Getting an early start on training pays off. The earlier a dog starts his or her education, the better he or she becomes at learning new things. What a wonderful opportunity you have to mould your new puppy into the confident, well-mannered adult dog you will be able to take (almost) anywhere.

Our Puppy Classes are built with you and your puppy in mind using science-based methods and inspired by the latest research on puppy training.

To learn more about the importance of proper socialization during the critical early puppyhood, please read the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior’s position statement.

BONUS: Participating in our Puppy Kindergarten classes gives you access to purchase spots in our exclusive Puppy Playdate!

“Proper socialization combined with positive reinforcement-based training in the context of a group puppy class helps puppies grow into well-adjusted pets.” – Dr. Brenda Griffin, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVIM

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING:

“So very happy that we brought our puppy to this class- she had a chance to socialize with other dogs and we learned very helpful tips for training our energetic puppy. The instructors were wonderful and provided not only general instructions to the class but also advice tailored to our puppy. Thank you Alana and Fumie!” – Amy

“Angie was very animated, gave the instructions, showed an example and let us practice. Excellent educator!! She made sure we understood and took time to elaborate when asked. Always friendly and welcoming! Great experience overall. It was easy communication via email/facebook when we had questions, loved the online booking process. The PK2 class helped a great deal, not only for the pets but for us as owners.” – Lissa
