Fumie Watanabe

Trainer

Fumie has had a great curiosity in human–animal communication since childhood. As a child, she raised little pet birds with great care and devotion. This experience taught her invaluable lessons about animal communication.

She attended almost all the courses offered at the Ottawa Canine School and worked diligently on modifying his behaviour. During that time she learned that science-based dog training is about establishing clear communication and building good relationships with canine friends. Hooked on learning, she graduated from the Professional Dog Trainer Certification Program at the Ottawa Canine School in the spring of 2016.

Fumie is a member of the Pet Professional Guild (PPG – the Association for Force-Free Pet Professionals) and Dogsafe Canine First Aid certified. She is also an animal Reiki practitioner, certified by Usui Ryoho Reiki.

Her particular interests are scent work, agility, and working with timid dogs.
