Good Manners (Obedience)

The Ottawa Canine School offers obedience training at all levels.

Basic Good Manners

Looking to teach your dog to walk well on leash, ignore distractions and improve their recall?  Start here.

Basic Good Manners

This class is designed for dogs and owners who already have a few basic skills like Sit & Down, but want to work on the basic good manners that we all want to see in our pet dogs.  Using the best and latest training strategies, you and your dog will learn these practical skills to help you navigate real life situations:

  • Coming when called
  • Loose Leash Walking
  • Impulse Control exercises
  • Ignoring distractions
  • ...  and more!

Classes are limited in size to be able to offer you the best quality of  instruction a group class can  offer. There is no off leash play as the dogs are now learning to focus on you and behave on leash.

Price: $200 + HST

Course Length: 6 lessons / 60 minutes each (a short break at the halfway mark)

Max. Class Size:
6 dogs

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING:

“Absolutely, great experience with Laurie. We learned a lot and have made a ton of progress with our dog. Laurie had lots of really useful advice and was so helpful in addressing any questions we had. She went above and beyond the course material and we never felt rushed through the class. Great facility, professional and knowledgeable staff! This has been a wonderful experience for our entire family and we look forward to our next class with Ottawa Canine School. Thank-you!!”             -Carolyn

“We focussed on the most useful areas such as walking and recall. Chantal and her assistant were both excellent. They have a good understanding of how to work with your dog. These programs are excellent. I find that I have built a very good bond with my dog and everyone comments on how well behaved he is given his age.” – Julianne
