Class Registration Guide

Please follow the steps below to ensure that you register your dog in the correct class. There is a $20 administration fee to process any correction to your registration.

Find the right class for your dog

Step 1: Check age and class schedule

Please check our class schedule for the class start date and graduation. Please view our class calendar for school holidays.

Calculate your dog’s age on the first day of class by entering your dog’s date of birth and the start date of the class you are interested in using this calculator.

If a class is marked “Full”, please email us to be placed on a waiting list.

Step 2: Check age requirement

Ensure your dog meets the age requirement (no exception):

  • Puppy Kindergarten I: 9 to 13 weeks old on the first day of class
  • Puppy Kindergarten II: 14 to 21 weeks old on the first day of class
  • Puppy Kindergarten III: 22 to 30 weeks old on the first day of class
  • All other group classes: At least 6 months (24 weeks old) on the first day of class

Step 3: Check vaccination requirements

Check if your dog meets the vaccination requirements to participate in the class:

  • Puppy Kindergarten I: At least one distemper combination vaccine, administered at least 7 days before your puppy’s first class.
  • Puppy Kindergarten II: Second round of distemper combination vaccines, administered at least 7 days before your dog’s first class.
  • Puppy Kindergarten III: Second round of distemper combination vaccines and rabies vaccine, administered at least 7 days before your dog’s first class.
  • Group classes for dogs age 6 months and up: Third round of distemper combination vaccines and rabies vaccine (if not already given), administered at least 7 days before your dog’s first class.

As necessary (please discuss with your vet): Leptospirosis, Lyme and Bordatella.

We also accept titer test results in lieu of vaccination records.

Step 4: Check training requirements

Check if your dog has the training pre-requisites to participate in the class. Please read course descriptions carefully.

Step 5: Register for a class

Register for the class by selecting “Sign-up” and follow the procedure on this page.

Step 6: Pay to reserve your spot

You have several ways to pay:

  • You can pay online using your credit card or via PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account).
  • You can pay over the phone (check store hours for when to call) using your credit card.
  • You can send an Email Money Transfer to info@ottawak9school.com (use OCS2019 as the password).
